In a shocking and tragic event, a SuperSport TV crew was ambushed while travelling to cover the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Libya’s Mediterranean Knights.
The seven-person crew was travelling from Lagos to Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, when the incident occurred on Wednesday.

He revealed that one of the crew members was tragically killed during the attack. While six members were reportedly rescued, the horrifying event has shaken the sporting community.
TRAGEDY: A journalist, one of my former SuperSport colleagues, was killed yesterday when members of the production crew for Friday’s game against Libya were kidnapped on their way to Uyo. Some of the crew have been freed, while at least 2 others are still unaccounted for
