Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman appears open to the idea of playing in La Liga amid rumours linking him to Real Madrid.
The 27-year-old winger’s future with his current club remains uncertain, as he has yet to sign a contract extension with the Bergamo-based outfit. Reports have claimed that Los Blancos are considering signing him next summer to bolster their attack.
According to other reports, French side Paris Saint-Germain and Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, are also interested in landing the red-hot Nigerian attacker.
Lookman has been in explosive form this year. The former Fulham star has been instrumental in Atalanta’s recent success, scoring a historic hat-trick in the Europa League final to help La Dea clinch their first-ever European title last season.
He has continued his impressive form this season, scoring 11 goals and providing five assists in 17 games, including a winner against AC Milan that sent Gian Piero Gasperini’s side to the top of the Serie A table.

What Lookman said

Speaking with Sporty TV, Lookman expressed admiration for the style of football played in La Liga.
”The football there is just amazing, the quality is there, you see it with the top teams. The football is great but those thoughts are of the future.
“You always want to play at the highest level. You want to achieve a lot, and when the time is right, we shall see.
“All the top teams in the world play attractive football, so that’s good to me. Attacking football is always attractive, so it’s good for me as a forward to want to score goals and make goals for my teammates.”
However, when asked to pick between Madrid and Barcelona, he replied, “I don’t know.”
Meanwhile, Lookman was on the scoresheet during Atalanta’s 3-2 loss to Madrid, reflecting his impressive form this season.
He also made the final shortlist for CAF’s African Men’s Player of the Year award, where he is regarded as the favourite to win the accolade.
