Pep Guardiola has revealed that he is currently dealing with the trauma of witnessing his team endure a dreadful run this season.
The Spanish manager has faced an uncharacteristically poor stretch of games, with his team winning just one of their last 10 matches across all competitions.
A 2-0 loss to Juventus on Wednesday saw Manchester City drop to a lowly 22nd spot in the revamped Champions League table, just one point above the relegation zone.
While they are already out of the Carabao Cup, having lost to Tottenham a few weeks ago, the Cityzens currently sit third in the Premier League table, eight points behind league leaders Liverpool.

Guardiola opens up on trauma of disastrous run

Due to the emotional toll of his team’s struggles, Guardiola admitted he has trouble sleeping and struggles to eat properly.
Speaking to Toni on Prime Video via Sunsports, the Spanish manager said,
“Sometimes you don’t need to have a great team to be happy.
“There are no players or coaches who don’t play for months because the results aren’t good. All that is normal and can happen.
“I am a person who sometimes gets nervous; I have bad days, I make a lot of mistakes, and rudeness makes me nervous.
“Do I sometimes lose my head? Yes. I sleep worse, and I don’t digest food properly now. I always have to eat light. Only soup at night.”
Meanwhile, Guardiola has outlined a specific condition for his team to get back on track.
