Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has returned to social media after a brief absence, marking his comeback by sharing a video on Instagram.

This follows his decision to delete all his previous posts on the platform following criticism of his performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Iwobi, 27, faced cyberbullying from Nigerian fans following the Super Eagles’ 2-1 final defeat to the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire.

However, he received support from his teammates, the Nigeria Football Federation, the Sports Ministry, and former Nigerian players, including his uncle Jay Jay Okocha, who condemned the trolls attacking him.

In response to the onslaught, Iwobi took a break from all his social media accounts to prioritize his mental well-being. After weeks of silence, the Super Eagles midfielder finally returned to Instagram, sharing a compilation of his standout moments during the 2023 AFCON and his recent performances with Fulham in the Premier League.

In his latest Instagram post, Iwobi gives his fans and followers a glimpse of his recent activities and teases a snippet of what seems to be his unreleased rap song, reflecting on his journey and resilience despite facing doubters along the way.

He also said,”Dey said I wasn’t good enough, but forgot I was playing in a position I wasn’t use to.”, as reported by legit

Several of his teammates, including William Troost-Ekong, Frank Onyeka, and Kenneth Omeruo, showed their support in the comment section.
