Ademola Lookman’s proposed move to Inter Milan has hit another roadblock as Atalanta have reportedly rejected a second bid from the Nerazzurri. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Inter submitted a new offer of €42 million plus €3 million in add-ons, but Atalanta remain firm in their €50 million valuation of the Nigerian international.
Inter’s Offer Falls Short Again
After having their initial €40m bid turned down, Inter returned with an improved package that still failed to convince the Bergamo-based club. Although Lookman has already agreed personal terms with Inter, Atalanta are refusing to back down unless their full asking price is met.
Atalanta view the winger as a critical part of their squad, especially following his stellar performances in the 2023/24 campaign, where he led the club to Europa League glory.
Atalanta Holding Firm

Lookman has been a revelation for Atalanta since joining from RB Leipzig in 2022. The 26-year-old has contributed 52 goals and 25 assists in 118 matches across all competitions. His heroics in Europe, including a hat-trick in the Europa League final, have only strengthened Atalanta’s resolve to demand full value for any potential transfer.
Despite the player’s openness to a move, the club’s hierarchy is prioritizing financial discipline and has made it clear that Lookman will not leave unless their valuation is fully met.
Lookman Wants the Move
Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi recently confirmed the player’s intention to leave. Speaking to the press, he stated: “Lookman has been expressing his desire to leave for some time. It’s no secret… But the transfer market always brings unexpected things.”
With time still left in the transfer window, it remains to be seen whether Inter will return with an improved bid or if Lookman will remain in Bergamo for another season.
