Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface is on the verge of a major career move as he edges closer to signing for AC Milan.
The 24 year old forward has reached a personal agreement with the Serie A club and talks are now moving quickly between Milan and Bayer Leverkusen.
Reports from Italy confirm that Boniface has accepted Milan’s offer on personal terms.
He is eager to leave Germany for a new adventure in Italy after a season that saw him rise to stardom in the Bundesliga.
Milan Push Ahead in Transfer Talks

Negotiations between Milan and Leverkusen are now at an advanced stage. Milan submitted an official offer earlier this week and both clubs are discussing the best structure for the deal.
One option on the table is a loan move with a buy option worth around €30 million. Another possibility is a direct permanent transfer if both sides can agree on the final fee.
However, Milan are pushing to close the deal soon, as they see Boniface as the main striker to lead their attack next season.
Rising Star of German Football
Boniface became one of the biggest names in German football last season.
He played a key role in Leverkusen’s first ever Bundesliga title win, scoring goals and providing important assists. His performances earned him the Rookie of the Year award for the 2023 to 2024 campaign.
Chance to Prove Himself Again?

For Boniface, this move would also be about redemption. His form dipped in the second half of last season after a bright start under Xabi Alonso at Leverkusen.
The Nigerian striker began the campaign in fine style, scoring six goals in his first eight league matches before an injury during the 2024 international break halted his momentum.
That setback opened the door for Czech forward Patrik Schick, who stepped in and impressed with consistent performances. Alonso later admitted that Boniface’s place in the starting lineup would depend on how he performed in training and competitive games.
Even after Erik ten Hag took charge at Leverkusen, Boniface mostly came off the bench and struggled to regain the confidence that made him one of the Bundesliga’s most exciting forwards.
Now, a move to Milan gives him the opportunity to reset and prove himself again at the highest level. Serie A presents a fresh challenge where he can show his qualities as one of the most dangerous forwards.
