The enduring GOAT controversy involving Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo has finally been addressed by AC Milan and Brazil great Ricardo Kaka.
The one-time Ballon d’Or winner had a successful career for both club and country, having made 551 appearances, scoring 177 goals and providing 147 assists for several clubs.
His performance earned him his first Ballon d’Or award in 2007 and also went on to be considered one of the greatest Brazilians.

Kaka favours Lionel Messi over Cristiano Ronaldo
The GOAT debate between the Portugal star and the Argentine star continues as Kaka makes his verdict known in an interview.
The former AC Milan player was given the option to select between Messi and Ronaldo, who have both won a combined 13 Ballon d’Or awards.

However, the Brazilian legend opted for the Argentine star Lionel Messi as his greatest player of all time leaving his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.
Despite having played against the eight times Ballon d’Or winner and with Ronaldo at Real Madrid in 2009, Kaka believes that the Argentine World Cup champion is the better player.

Speaking to AC Milan World, via Sportskeeda, he said, “It’s a difficult question, and I love both of them very much, but I will answer Messi first. He is the best of all time.”
Both players are currently plying their trade outside Europe, with Ronaldo breaking records at Al Nassr and Lionel Messi helping his new team Inter Miami secure several trophies.
