Ex-Super Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama, who is regarded by many as Nigeria’s best ever goalkeeper, mourns the death of his father.
Enyeama, the former shot-stopper, revealed the tragic news in an Instagram photo of him smiling with his late father.

The 2013 AFCON-winning goalkeeper posted a video on his social media account, playing table tennis with his father, captioned:
“To God be the glory for a life well spent, you were the reason a lot of people achieved what they achieved. You were selfless and generous,”
Enyeama praised his father for a life well lived but did not disclose any further details about his demise.
“You stood in for many, you fought for many to achieve their dreams.
“I am proud to have been fathered by you. It’s a series – your number was called. Farewell.God rest your soul in peace,” he added, as reported by Punch
The 41-year-old, whose mother, Lucy Enyeama, passed away in 2015, with the recent loss of his father, which comes as a shock, is now an orphan.

Known as one of the best goalkeepers in Nigerian history, Enyeama returned home in 2018 after concluding his playing career with Lille in France.
In an illustrious international career, Vincent Enyeama is the second most capped Super Eagles player in history. He led the team to their third African Cup of Nations trophy in 2013.
