The La Liga club, led by chief scout Juni Calafat and director general Jose Angel Sanchez, has been in ongoing talks with Davies’ camp, urging him not to renew his contract with Bayern, which expires in 2025, facilitating a potential move to Real Madrid, according to reports from the Athletic.
The negotiations, including a recent in-person meeting in Madrid in mid-February, have expedited the process.
Two options are being considered, with Real Madrid open to either securing a deal for a below-market price this summer or waiting until the following year when Davies’ contract with Bayern ends.

Despite interest from rival Barcelona and English clubs, Alphonso Davies currently leans towards a preference for a move to Madrid.

Alphonso Davies, who joined Bayern from Vancouver Whitecaps in January 2019, has made 180 appearances for the club, contributing to multiple Bundesliga titles and the Champions League triumph in 2020. This season, he has played 27 times, scoring one goal and providing three assists.
