HEARTBREAKING: Huge loss to Manchester United as former player dies of Pancreatic cancer

Former Manchester United youth player and football film star Bobby Power passes away following a courageous battle with cancer, mourned by grieving family

Heartfelt tributes flow in for Bobby Power, the former Manchester United youth team player, who has sadly succumbed to cancer at the age of 40.

Known for portraying ‘Gorgeous’ Gordon Burley in the football film There’s Only One Jimmy Grimble, his loss is deeply felt.

A father of three, Bobby, had a stint with the Manchester United youth team during the 1990s and later pursued a career as a personal trainer in the city.

He cultivated a substantial online following by sharing his passion for fitness and the outdoors. Tributes are flooding in following Bobby’s tragic passing in February.

His grieving daughter, Kaitlyn Eadsforth, expressed, “He was incredibly outgoing—wherever he went, he would strike up a conversation with anyone.”

“He was like a social butterfly, in any room that he went in. If he wasn’t at the gym he was climbing mountains. He loved helping other people.

That’s what he was all about really – helping people physically and mentally.” The 19-year-old said he was “the best dad in the world” in a series of touching social media tributes.

She wrote: “Rest in paradise dad, you don’t need to suffer anymore. I love you forever and always. I’m forever grateful for everything you have done for me, best dad in the world.”

According to TheSun, The fitness lover was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer after feeling unusually tired while scaling a mountain.

Bobby was moved to Dr. Kershaw’s Hospice in Oldham, where his appearance dramatically changed.

His mom, Estrella Barry, shared, “He spent the rest of his life trying to find a cure.

He wanted to live for his girls. He did everything he could. He thought he was going in to get strong so he could get chemotherapy in Liverpool.”

“But unfortunately that’s the last place he went.”

At the hospice, Bobby married Jemma Power-Bliss on Valentine’s Day, surrounded by friends and family.

Estrella continued, “He couldn’t walk or anything. He was like a little skeleton. It was what he wanted, but a few weeks later he died.

He has inspired so many people because he was just such an active person.”

Surviving him are his daughters Loren, aged 20, Kaitlyn, aged 19, and Heidi, aged 12.
