The 37-year-old boxer said during the session, as reported by MMA Fighting, “I was conscious right after [the knockout], and since then everything’s been good.” He continued, “Still going to run some medical work, just in case.”
The MMA fighter expressed his intention to take some time off to decompress after a demanding schedule of fights. While he’s not done with boxing, the Cameroonian remains committed to competing in the PFL, with Renan Ferreira as his next opponent.

Reflecting on the fight, he admitted, “I wasn’t seeing it happen like that, but I always knew it could happen.” He revealed a sense of unease before the fight, indicating that something didn’t feel quite right during his warm-up backstage.
However, he acknowledged the professionalism of Joshua and his team, refusing to diminish their victory. He also took full responsibility for his performance, stating, “I was the one that just didn’t execute the plan properly and maybe didn’t feel completely present.”
