Former Roma forward Nicolo Zaniolo has placed a manager who previously led a London-based club on the same level as top-tier coaches like Jose Mourinho, Pep Guardiola, and Jurgen Klopp.
Unai Emery, the current coach of Aston Villa and former manager of North London club Arsenal, did not enjoy a successful tenure during his time at the club.

In a lengthy interview with Corriere dello Sport on Tuesday morning, the 24-year-old Italian forward delved into various topics, ranging from his aspirations with the Italy national team to the challenges he has encountered while playing in Turkey and England.
During the interview, Zaniolo was questioned about his thoughts on Aston Villa coach Emery after their collaboration.
“I deserve more chances at Astonvilla but I can say that Emery is one of the strongest coaches, I put him on the same level as Guardiola, Klopp, and Mourinho. He is improving me in every aspect.”, he said.
A surprise to Zaniolo
Zaniolo also expressed his surprise at Mourinho’s dismissal in Roma, stating that he didn’t expect it. However, he also mentioned that he wasn’t surprised by the positive work of De Rossi who replaced the Portuguese manager.
He praised De Rossi’s leadership qualities, describing him as a “crazy captain” who acted like a coach on the pitch even during his playing days.
