The team, which was ranked 28th globally in February, now sits at 30th in the ranking released on April 4, 2024. This shift follows the team’s varied performance during last month’s international break.
During this period, Nigeria secured a 2-1 victory over Ghana in Finidi George’s inaugural game as interim manager, as reported by Sports Buddy. However, they faced a setback with a 2-0 defeat to the Eagles of Mali just days later.

In Africa, Nigeria secures the third position on the list, trailing behind Morocco, positioned at 13th, and Senegal, holding the 17th spot. Ghana, Nigeria’s West African counterpart and rival, occupies the 68th position, slipping one spot lower in the rankings.
