Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, after his team’s draw against Manchester United, has made a surprising comment concerning the Manchester United versus Arsenal game which may play a huge role in the title race.
With Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester City closely competing for the title, separated by just one point, both Liverpool and Manchester City are hoping that Manchester United will act as a barrier to Arsenal’s progress.
Sports Buddy in recent article talked about three huge mistakes Liverpool made against manchester United costing them maximum points as they fail to go top of the league.
Jurgen Klopp makes audatious statement
Jurgen Klopp after the game in his post-match presser stated, “We should have won the game, that is clear, but we caused a few problems for ourselves,” he admitted to Sky Sports. “Controlled the game, scored the first one, wonderful. Should have had more goals in the first half already and they had no shot on target in the first half at all so one nil is the lowest of possible results then, that is all it is.
“We make our mistakes, well executed in the end, really well done from Bruno. The stadium is coming, we needed to settle and then by that time there is another screamer, wonderful goal, but then we found a way back in the game. Before they scored we had big chances, after they scored we had big chances, and in the end we only used two.”
Jurgen Klopp admits Arsenal might beat United
Acknowledging Arsenal as a formidable football team, he expresses certainty that if Manchester United maintains the same level of performance as today, the Gunners will emerge victorious.
“Arsenal is a good football team and if [United] play like today, Arsenal will win that game, I’m 100% sure. I’m really sorry to say that but this is a matter of fact. We should’ve won both games and didn’t. That’s our fault.”, he said, as per Football London.
