Lionel Messi’s return from injury for Inter Miami was almost overshadowed by a bizarre incident involving a fan and his security detail.
Fan Makes Beeline for Messi Selfie
With the game winding down in a 2-2 draw against the Colorado Rapids, a young fan managed to get onto the field and approach Messi.
According to The Daily Mail, The fan, described as a young girl, even managed to put her arm around the soccer star and hold up her phone for a selfie.

Security Reacts Swiftly to Field Intruder
Security personnel, including The Argentine’s personal bodyguard, a former US Navy SEAL named Yassine Chueko, quickly intervened and escorted the girl away from the player.
Chueko is known to shadow The Miami Superstar closely during games, even running up and down the sideline with him.

Messi Scores on Return, but Inter Miami Held to Draw
Despite the disruption, The Argentine maestro managed to make a positive contribution on the field. He entered the game as a substitute in the second half and scored a goal with his left foot to put Miami temporarily ahead 2-1.

However, the Rapids answered back with a goal from Cole Bassett in the 88th minute, securing a draw for the visitors. This result extends Miami’s winless streak to four games across all competitions.
The match also featured appearances by several of The Argentine’s former Barcelona teammates, including Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, who came on as substitutes in the second half.

Another former teammate, Luis Suarez, remained on the bench as an unused substitute.
