The road to victory wasn’t smooth sailing, however. Palmeiras needed to overturn a 1-0 deficit from the first leg, where Brazilian superstar Neymar was present to support his former club Santos.

Endrick Orchestrates Comeback

Endrick, fresh off scoring the winning goal for Brazil against England, proved instrumental in the turnaround. He earned a crucial penalty that teammate Raphael Veiga converted in the 33rd minute, drawing Palmeiras level on aggregate.

The reigning Brazilian champions pressed their advantage in the second half. Anibal Moreno’s strike midway through the period sealed the win for Palmeiras, securing a 2-1 aggregate victory.

Despite the triumph, Endrick endured an anxious wait on the sidelines after being substituted in the 71st minute.

Humble Star with Big Dreams

Reports from talkSPORT reveals following the match, the wonderkid displayed remarkable humility. He expressed his hopes of inspiring young people to pursue their dreams.

Endrick dedicated this latest trophy to Palmeiras, the club that nurtured him throughout his youth career.

“Palmeiras believed in me when I had nothing,” he stated. “This title belongs to everyone at Palmeiras, the staff, and the fans.”

Farewell to Palmeiras, Eyes on Madrid

The state championship win marks Endrick’s final piece of silverware with Palmeiras before his move to Real Madrid in July upon turning 18.

With the Brazilian league season resuming in April and concluding in December, the youngster will miss the opportunity to add to his 2022 and 2023 league titles.

Despite his upcoming departure, Endrick remains focused on his time remaining with Palmeiras. He acknowledged that his Brazil teammates frequently inquired about his move to Spain during the recent international break.

“Vinicius Jr., Rodrygo, Lucas Paquetá, and Bruno Guimarães were all asking when I’d be joining them in Madrid,” he admitted. “While I know I’m leaving soon, my focus remains here.”

Endrick’s talent and dedication are undeniable. He’s poised to join a star-studded cast at Real Madrid, including fellow wonderkid Jude Bellingham. With his hunger for success, Endrick seems well on his way to becoming a future legend at the 14-time European champions.
