Fulham’s Muniz Named March’s Premier League Player of the Month
Rodrigo Muniz, a Brazilian striker for Fulham, has been voted the EA SPORTS Player of the Month for March 2024. This accomplishment makes Muniz only the third Fulham player in history to receive this prestigious award.
Muniz’s Stellar March Performance
Muniz was the Premier League’s joint-top scorer in March, contributing significantly to Fulham’s success. He netted an impressive four goals and provided one assist throughout the month.

His standout performances included scoring and setting up a goal in a convincing 3-0 win against Brighton & Hove Albion, a brace in another 3-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur, and a dramatic last-minute scissor-kick goal to secure a draw at Sheffield United.
Muniz emphasized the importance of teamwork in his achievement. “Without my teammates, the staff, everyone here, this is impossible,” he declared to Fulham’s official website.

“It’s special. The last two-and-a-half years were difficult. Now I’m adapted to England. I feel at home here.” An emotional Muniz was brought to tears when his teammates Willian and Andreas Pereira surprised him with the award.
First Fulham Winner in Over a Decade
This accolade marks a significant milestone for both Muniz and Fulham. The 22-year-old Brazilian becomes the first Fulham player to win the award in over 14 years. Goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer was the last Fulham winner, receiving the honor in February 2010. Prior to that, Louis Saha secured the award in August 2001.
Muniz emerged victorious from a shortlist of seven players. The final decision was made by combining votes from the public on the EA SPORTS website with those cast by a panel of football experts.

Under Iraola’s guidance, Bournemouth enjoyed an undefeated March, securing three wins and a draw. The team triumphed 2-0 away at Burnley and secured home victories against Luton Town and Everton.
Their most remarkable performance came against Luton, where they staged a dramatic comeback after falling behind 3-0. This historic win marked the first time in 21 years that a Premier League team managed to overturn a 3-goal deficit and emerge victorious.
