Former Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas heaped praise on his old club as they chase a historic end to the season.
Arsenal in Title Race and Champions League Fight
Mikel Arteta’s men currently lead the Premier League table with seven games remaining. In the Champions League, they are locked at 2-2 on aggregate ahead of their second-leg quarter-final clash against Bayern Munich next week. The Gunners are on course for a thrilling conclusion to the campaign.

Cesc Fabregas Believes Arsenal Are on the Right Track
Regardless of whether they secure silverware, Cesc Fabregas is confident that Arsenal are moving in the right direction. In an interview with the Evening Standard before the Gunners’ crucial league match against Aston Villa, the Spaniard expressed his optimism.

“There’s no doubt they’re getting there, there’s no doubt they are Arsenal now,” Cesc Fabregas said. “Across Europe, coaches, top teams, fans – everyone agrees that Arsenal are one of the most exciting teams to watch and compete against.”
He continued speaking to the Evening Standard, “They’re gaining valuable experience. The coaching staff and players are finding solutions to different challenges. It’s fantastic to see, and I genuinely believe they’re very close to achieving something big soon. It’s a joy to see Arsenal back in the title race.”
Arsenal Showing Improved Resilience
This season, Arsenal has displayed a newfound adaptability, adjusting their approach based on their opponent’s tactics. Their recent league encounter against Manchester City exemplifies this shift.
Last year, Manchester City dominated Arsenal 4-1 at their home stadium. Almost a year later, a more resilient Gunners side held the reigning champions to a scoreless draw, maintaining their lead in the title race for the first time since 2004.

Fabregas highlighted Arsenal’s recent visit to Manchester City as a testament to their significant improvement. The Gunners frustrated the champions, limiting their scoring opportunities while creating a few chances themselves.
