Soccer icons such as Samuel Eto’o, Didier Drogba, Mario Balotelli, and several others are set to participate in the Charity Champions’ Cup organized by the Attom Foundation.

The event aims to raise funds for charitable initiatives in Nigeria and will take place at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on Saturday, June 15, 2024.
Joining them will be Nigerian-based football stars like Victor Osimhen, Kenneth Omeruo, Asisat Oshoala, Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho, as well as celebrities including Tiwa Savage, Paul and Peter Okoye, Ayo Makun, among others.
This year, the organizers are focusing on assisting individuals with visual impairments, to offer treatment to over 10,000 Nigerians. The Attom Foundation has already acquired four mobile eye clinics and plans to distribute them across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Speaking at a joint press conference in Lagos on Thursday, the founder of Attom Foundation, Yahaya Attom, emphasized that the foundation was established to support the underprivileged in society.
“The Charity Champions’ Cup stands as a testament to making a difference. This initiative embodies the essence of our foundation, uniting legendary footballers, celebrities and individuals from all walks of life to tackle a critical healthcare need – eye care for the elderly in Nigeria,” he said, as per The Sun.
