Arsenal supporter Piers Morgan has launched a scathing attack on Tottenham fans following manager Ange Postecoglou’s heated exchange with a supporter during their loss to Manchester City.
Morgan, along with many Arsenal fans, were hoping Tottenham would snatch points from Manchester City to aid their own Premier League title bid. However, despite Tottenham needing a win for Champions League qualification, some Spurs fans were seen celebrating Erling Haaland’s goals, effectively derailing Arsenal’s title dreams.
During the match, a frustrated Postecoglou was caught on camera confronting a Tottenham fan behind his dugout. His anger continued after the game, criticizing issues “within and outside” the club, and blaming the subdued atmosphere for impacting his players.

Piers Morgan Offers Sympathy and Scorn
Commenting on the incident, Morgan expressed sympathy for Postecoglou on TalkSPORT radio. “This guy is Australian,” Morgan said. “They don’t understand what it’s like to want to lose something.” He further criticized the fan’s behavior, “There was a guy behind him chanting at him to throw the match.”
Morgan questioned how any Tottenham fan could justify the incident. “How can any Tottenham fan live with themselves seeing that scene go down last night?” he asked. While admitting annoyance, he emphasized a stronger feeling of shame towards the Spurs supporters.

Tiny Club Mentality?
According to Mirror Piers Morgan’s criticism extended beyond the fan incident, slamming the overall atmosphere at the Tottenham stadium. “They were actually dancing in celebration as City scored against them,” he said. He compared their behavior to “wearing City shirts and jumping around because that’s the nearest they’ll ever going to get to winning anything.”
Morgan finished his scathing attack by drawing a parallel between his own emotions and those of a Tottenham supporter. “It was the most humiliating, self-harming act of treachery I’ve ever watched,” he declared. “I’ve woken up this morning knowing what it feels like to be a Spurs fan for a day – it is horrible.”
