Everton will leave Goodison Park at the end of 2024/25 season for a new era for the stadium which has been the home of the club since 1892 Sportsbuddy.ng reports.
The last match is scheduled to take place on Sunday, 18 May 2025 before the end of the current season and prior to the club’s relocation to a new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock.
Celebrating with Legends
In celebration of this occasion, we have invited Nigeria legend Daniel Amokachi together with cult heroes Lee Carsley and Thomas Gravesen the club announced according to Birkenhead news.
They will participate in meetings with the first-team squad from Sean Dyche’s and special guest host Leon Osman in August to mark Goodison Park.
Amokachi’s Legacy
Amokachi is currently 51 years of age and his stay at Everton from 1994 to 1996 saw him win the FA Cup in 1995.
He is best known for two goals in the semi-final match against Tottenham Hotspur and his famous beret after the final.
Other Nigerian players who have played for Everton include Joseph Yobo, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Victor Anichebe, Hope Akpan, Alex Iwobi, and Ademola Lookman.
