Brazilian youngster Endrick had a difficult match in Brazil’s quarter-final battle against Uruguay during the current Copa America Sportsbuddy.ng reports.
The newly signed Real Madrid forward started in attack alongside potential future teammate Rodrygo and Barcelona’s Raphinha, to fill in for the suspended Vinicius Jr.
Tense match and missed opportunities
This match was evenly contested throughout and Brazil were defeated by penalties after Uruguay had a player sent off in the 74th minute.
Nahitan Nández received a red card for a career threatening foul on Rodrygo, while Endrick was invisible for the majority of the match.
Disastrous Performance And Doubts
Endrick was very poor in the game, he produced some of the worst figures for a player who played the whole match.
He made only one pass which was the kickoff pass while having a total of 24 touches in the entire match. After only one pass completed from an attempted five, as he completes the game with a low rating of 6.4.
The audience starts wondering whether the 17-year-old has been hyped too much, and whether he is worth the €60 million Real Madrid spent on him.
Future At Real Madrid
Real Madrid have signed Endrick, but only time will tell if the youngster will silence those critics when he moves to Spain. He will have to step up his performance levels to meet the price tag as well as expectations placed on his young shoulders.
