Following their side’s victory against Colombia in the Copa America final, Argentina national team players were involved in a racist scandal in which they racially abused tri-national star Kylian Mbappe and other players of the French national team.

During an Instagram live video by Enzo Fernandez, which was posted on X, La Albiceleste players can be heard singing a chant created by their supporters at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The song made fun of Mbappe’s African heritage, as well as that of numerous other players in France’s Euro 2024 squad.
The French squad, in recent years, is well-known for having a chunk of black players with African-ties, many of whom could have opted to represent an African country, if they wanted to.
As a result, the song was formed by Argentina fans and their players were recently seen singing the song after as they journeyed home, following their Copa America victory.

The song’s lyrics are, “They play for France but come from Angola, they are going to run well, they like to *** trans people, their mother is Nigerian, their father Cameroonian, but on the passport French.”
Kylian Mbappe was eligible to play for the Super Eagles to before being cap-tied to France, through his father Wilfred Mbappe, whose parents have Nigerian roots.
