Mikel Arteta has orchestrated yet another raid on his former team, Manchester City, as the Gunners aim to go toe-to-toe against the Citizens for a third consecutive season in pursuit of the title.

Over the last two years, the Gunners and City have faced off for the Premier League title. However, they have always ended up as second best.

It seems that Arteta has adopted the maxim “sign them if you can’t beat them.” The Athletic reports that the North London team has made a move for Darren Rogerson, an elite development squad analyst for Man City, per The Mirror.
Rogerson, who had previously worked with Sheffield United, Rangers and Derby, is expected start working with Arteta’s first team immediately he completes his move to the Emirates Stadium.

Prior to joining the EDS, he was with Man City under-18 team. Rogerson is not the only employee of Man City who recently moved from the Etihad to the Emirates.

Ben Chadwick left to take a position as head of analysis at Arsenal, having held the same role at City. Nicolas Jover, the set piece coach who accompanied Arteta from Manchester City to London, has also shown to be a huge success.
