Chelsea’s manager Enzo Maresca was critical about Noni Madueke after he netted three goals in a spectacular 6-2 taming of Wolves.
However, Enzo Maresca insisted that the performance of the young winger can still be enhanced in some aspects and proves it in the following part.
The England Under-21 international had been at the centre of a social media controversy where he was a public enemy.
However, the crowd was wowed by the performance displayed by Madueke, as reported earlier by SportsBuddy.
Enzo Maresca’s Mixed Feelings on Madueke’s Performance
While Madueke’s finishing was top-notch, according to MetroSports, Maresca expressed his displeasure with the winger’s foul just before halftime, which led to Wolves scoring their second equaliser.
“The only thing I did not like at all from Noni was the free kick he gave away before halftime, and we can avoid that, especially in front of a team that is strong in set pieces.”
Madueke Thriving Under Enzo Maresca’s Leadership
Maresca’s direct style of leadership has received a polarising response at Chelsea, especially from some of the high-profile players like Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell.
However, Madueke has been surviving under the leadership of the new Chelsea boss.
Speaking after the victory, Madueke noted, “Everyone saw what he did at Leicester last year; he is mad about the details. It is a great day today. I am happy he has got his first Premier League win for Chelsea, and we go onto midweek in Geneva.”
