Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has cleared the air on reports linking Victor Osimhen with a potential move to Chelsea in January.
Fabrizio’s update comes after former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel hinted at a transfer move for the 25-year-old striker to Chelsea during the January transfer window.

The reigning CAF Player of the Year recently signed a season-long loan deal with Turkish side Galatasaray after his deadline transfer to Chelsea broke down, due to undisclosed reasons, which were later revealed by Sports Buddy.
Mikel on his podcast claimed Chelsea could make a move for Osimhen next year, with the West London club being just a ‘few details’ from finalising the deal.

However, Fabrizio, speaking on his YouTube channel, clarified that the Super Eagles striker is currently committed to honouring his contract with his new club, Galatasaray.
“Victor Osimhen just signed for Galatasaray. Respect for Galatasaray, not just from my side but also on the player’s side, camp, and the player himself.
“They want to respect Gala, focus on Gala, play for Gala, this is the position on the player’s side.
“What I can tell you and I already told you last weekend, I can repeat again this week is that Chelsea’s appreciation for Victor Osimhen remains absolutely.
“Chelsea understand what happened in the final days of August. They understand how complicated the negotiations for the player are in terms of financial, in terms of salary, and in terms of contract.
“But Chelsea’s appreciation in Victor Osimhen remains absolutely concrete and absolutely still there.”
Meanwhile, Osimhen, is currently on international duties with the Nigerian national team. The new Galatasaray man came off the bench to score in the AFCON qualifiers clash against Benin Republic and will be looking to continue with this impressive performance against Rwanda and carry on the momentum to his new club after the international break.
