Fabian Hurzeler has been awarded the Barclays Manager of the Month for August 2024 after guiding Brighton & Hove Albion through an unbeaten start to the Premier League season.
With two wins and a draw, Brighton ended the month second in the league, including a 3-0 win at Everton, a 2-1 victory over Manchester United, and a 1-1 draw at Arsenal.

“It’s always nice to win this trophy as it confirms your work, not only mine but the whole club’s,” Hurzeler commented.
At 31, Hurzeler is the youngest permanent Premier League head coach and the youngest to win this award.
Hurzeler’s Historic Achievement
Hurzeler follows Ange Postecoglou, who won the Manager of the Month in his first month with Tottenham Hotspur in August 2023.
He is also the first Brighton manager to claim the honor since Chris Hughton in February 2018, cementing his remarkable debut in England’s top flight.
His leadership has brought Brighton to an impressive position early in the season.
Haaland Secures Player of the Month Award

Manchester City’s Erling Haaland won the EA SPORTS Player of the Month after scoring seven goals in three matches, including hat-tricks against Ipswich Town and West Ham United.
Haaland is the first player to score hat-tricks in two of a team’s first three league matches since 1994/95. Haaland said, “To have scored seven goals in three matches is great, but I will continue to work hard and improve.” This is his third time receiving the award.
