Dubois 27, countered all pre-fight predictions by keeping Joshua on the back foot the entire fight.

Joshua was on the backfoot in the second round but somehow lasted the storm; however, in the third round, Dubois gave hard right-handed punches that overwhelmed Joshua. Joshua’s defence crumbled as he took yet another count.

This is a terrible blow that puts his career in considerable jeopardy. On the other end, Dubois earned the victory of his career so far as he said to the crowd, “It has been a rollercoaster ride.” This is my time; after all, I should get a second chance to tell my story.

The fight set a post-World War II British attendance record, with 96,000 spectators filling London’s Wembley Stadium to witness the stunning upset.
