The hilarious reason behind the yellow card to Vinicius Júnior yesterday has been revealed.
Real Madrid winger Vinicius Júnior was booked in the 30th minute of the 3-2 win over Deportivo Alaves for Hyping up his own crowd.
The 24-year-old picked up third league booking of the season yesterday as goals from Lucas Vazquez, Kylian Mbappé and Rodrygo Goes gave the host a 3-0 lead before eventually conceding two goals later in the game.
Vinicius Júnior, who achieved 150 goal contributions for Real Madrid when he assisted Vazquez for the opening goal was booked by the referee for a hilarious reason.
The hilarious reason for Vinicius Jr’s booking
According to the report of referee Mr Muniz Ruiz, who was in charge of proceeding in the Santiago Bernabéu on Tuesday night, the Brazilian was shown a yellow card on the half-hour mark for hyping up the fans.
The report reads:
“In the 30th minute the player (7) Vinicius José De Oliveira Do Nascimento was cautioned for the following reason: For making technical observations to one of my decisions.”
He was hyping up his OWN crowd.”
Real Madrid have received more yellow cards by dissent than any other team in LaLiga 2024/25 with eight, three of them by Vinícius Júnior, more than any other player.
