West Ham United’s supporters have topped the list for football-related arrests for the third year in a row in the Premier league, making them the most arrested supporters in England’s top five divisions for three years running.

The 2023/24 season saw 103 arrests of West Ham fans, as per the Home Office’s annual report, which is an increase from the 89 this figure indicates from the previous year.

Both Manchester City and Manchester United landed in second place, each having had 88 arrests.

Arsenal and Chelsea came in third and fourth, with 85 and 67 arrests, respectively.

However, in a previous report from Sportsbuddy, Chelsea fans have aired their support in their quest to sign Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan.

The leading charge among these supporter groups was “public disorder,” but the total football-related arrests increased by 14% chiefly because of cases involving Class A drugs and international events.

In answer, a West Ham spokesperson said that the club is still dedicated to its ‘zero-tolerance’ stance on discrimination and other offences.

The club harnesses sophisticated CCTV systems while also working side by side with authorities to confront and instruct offending fans, which helps to explain the surge in arrests and bans.
