The Super Falcons team captain, Rasheedat Ajibade, has been named along with others for the acclaimed Spanish Liga F Player of the Month (POTM) award for the month of September.

In addition to Barcelona’s Ewa Pajor, Real Madrid’s Caroline Weir, Levante Badalona’s María Llompart, and Athletic Club Femenino’s Nerea Nevado, Atlético Madrid forward Felipe is one of six leading nominees.

Rasheedat Ajibade Stellar Start to the Season

The nomination comes after Ajibade had an exceptional beginning to the season. In only two outings, the 24-year-old produced two goals and two assists, confirming her central role for Atlético Madrid.

Though she missed the 2-1 win against Deportivo de La Coruña, Ajibade assisted in Atlético’s 2-0 success over Granada at the start of the season.

Though she was absent earlier, she returned strongly to score twice and also provide assistance for another goal in their 4-0 victory over Valencia.
