Regarding Keane’s statement, Arteta dismissed the comment and emphasised the seriousness of Arsenal’s competition with City.
When questioned by the press regarding the pressure of sustaining the friendship with Pep Guardiola in the wake of the allegations, Arteta said, If those accusations hit you, then maybe it holds some truth to it. If they do not, and you are sure that you are right with your action and have a clean conscience, then it should not be a concern.”

Speaking about opinions, Arteta stated that it is impossible to avoid them, and everyone should be ready to hear it, adding, “If you do not like opinions, then you shouldn’t be sitting in the position that I have.”
Rather than backing down, Arteta admitted that he thrives on the pressure and competition with City, while speaking to HaytersTV. “I prefer this reaction much more than someone clapping my back after the game and saying, Well done, you’re on the right track.’ He said, “I have to be as competitive as possible, and the reaction from others is something that I cannot control.”

"I want to win games in our way but understanding context. I want to wear flip flops and shorts but with this weather? That's silly.
"People will say 'Mikel, what are you doing man?' No, but I'm very brave."
While Arsenal is suffering from injuries, Mikel Arteta also revealed that Mikel Merino could come back in the next games; at the same time, he emphasised the need to listen to the players regarding the tight schedule.
