Why Bruno Labbadia made shocking u-turn on 37th Super Eagles role.
The Nigerian Football Federation has been dealt a huge blow following the failure to reach an agreement with German tactician Bruno Labbadia, who was already announced as the 37th Super Eagles head coach in August.
The 58-year-old former Bayer Leverkusen, Stuttgart and Wolfsburg boss accepted the advances of the NFF to succeed Finidi George. Unfortunately, the agreement has now broken down due to failure to reach a compromise over the payment of his taxes, thus rendering his announcement as the new head coach of the Super Eagles useless.

NFF left in limbo as Bruno Labbadia makes a shocking u-turn on Eagles’ role
According to reports in Germany, Bruno Labbadia was already prepared to kick off his reigns as the new National team coach. His team have also get themselves ready for the task, and were in the process of securing their work permit as well as their traveling documents.
Unfortunately, they had to stay back due to this disagreement, with Austin Eguavoen stepping in on a temporary spell with the hope of finally assuming the role in the near future.

The prospects of Labbadia commencing work with Nigeria has now come to an end, with Austin Eguavoen expected to continue as the interim manager in the October international break.
