Chelsea face a £50,000 fine from the FA after receiving six yellow cards in their 1-1 Premier League draw against Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
Moisés Caicedo was the first to go into the book, earning a yellow card in the 21st minute for a foul on Morgan Gibbs-White before referee Chris Kavanagh then booked Forest’s James Ward-Prowse for a foul on Cole Palmer 15 minutes later.
Forest took the lead early in the second half when Chris Wood headed in from a Nikola Milenkovic cross. The Blues responded quickly, equalising through Noni Madueke after being set up by Palmer in the 57th minute.

The yellow cards continued to pile up, with Palmer booked for dissent in the 75th minute. Three minutes later, Ward-Prowse was sent off after picking up his second yellow card, leaving Forest with ten men. In the 89th minute, Marc Cucurella and Levi Colwill clashed with Neco Williams, earning all three players yellow cards.
Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels was also shown a yellow for time-wasting in stoppage time, followed shortly by Chelsea’s Pedro Neto for a foul on Nicolás Domínguez.
Wesley Fofana received Chelsea’s sixth yellow card of the match for a foul on Jota Silva deep into stoppage time.

According to journalist Kieran Gill on X, the FA will fine Chelsea £50,000 for this being their second offence of the season.
