Flamingos beat New Zealand 4-1 in U17 WWC
Nigeria found the breakthrough after less than two minutes into the game through 16-year-old midfielder Shakirat Moshood from a Harmony Chidi assist.
The lead was doubled eleven minutes later thanks to a defender this time, Taiwo Adegoke, who found the back of the net after being setup by Faridat Abdulwahab.

Faridat Abdulwahab registered her name on the scoresheet as Nigeria continued to run riot in the first quarter of the game. She made it 3-0 three minutes before the half-hour mark from a Shakirat Moshood assist.
The Nigerian girls put the game beyond New Zealand four minutes before the hour mark as Taiwo Afolabi scored Flamingos final goal of the game, assisted by her namesake, Taiwo Adegoke, who finished the game with a goal and assist, just like two of her teammates, Faridat Abdulwahab and Shakirat Moshood.

Hannah Saxon grabbed a consolation for New Zealand six minutes later as it finished 4-1 to Nigeria, who leads group A on goal difference ahead of Ecuador.
Nigeria and Ecuador will meet in a top of the table clash on Saturday before their final group game against Dominican Republic on Wednesday.
