Kylian Mbappé has been announced winner of Real Madrid’s player of the month award for September, the month he got his goal-scoring prowess underway in La Liga.
The Frenchman scored on his debut for the club in August, during the UEFA Super Cup win over Atalanta in Warszawa, but struggled to get on at the start of the domestic season.

The former PSG man failed to find the back of the net in his first three La games but immediately it was September, he kicked it off with a brace in a 2-0 win over Real Betis.
Mbappé scored in all five Real Madrid games during the month, scoring six and assisting one across all competitions.

“We have three very important games next week, it’s very important to win all 3. Me and the team are fine, we’re ready for what lies ahead.” Mbappé said after winning the award.

Real Madrid and Mbappé return to action on Saturday away to Celta Vigo.
