Former Beşiktaş striker Batuhan Karadeniz made a striking comment about Victor Osimhen’s impact following the striker’s performance in the Istanbul derby.
The retired Turkish forward echoed the thoughts of former Fenerbahçe star Abdullah Ercan, who believes the Super Eagles star has made the Süper Lig less competitive.
Karadeniz made the statement after the 25-year-old striker scored against his former team Beşiktaş on Monday, helping Galatasaray secure a win at RAMS Park.

Galatasaray, who have won the last two league titles, have strengthened with the 25-year-old’s addition, making them an even tougher opponent. Alongside last season’s top scorer Mauro Icardi and standout goalkeeper Fernando Muslera, Osimhen’s arrival has kept them well ahead in the league.
After just 10 games, Galatasaray sit comfortably at the top, six points ahead of Samsunspor and eight points clear of Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş, both of whom have a game in hand.
What Karadeniz said about Osimhen
Following the match, Karadeniz praised Osimhen’s contributions to Galatasaray and shared his view that the Nigerian striker has made the league feel less balanced.
In a statement via SuperHaber, he said:
“Victor Osimhen, since the day he arrived, comes out and tears himself apart when he scores a goal. He never reversed his movements when he stepped left and right. Run to that defender, run to that defender. Well done to you!
“So many big world stars will come to a league like ours and I will get tired watching… This is what you call a football player, he gives full value for the money he gets.
“They hired a guy named Victor Osimhen, can a center forward kick the ball in every position? This is cheating, close this. Osimhen needs to be banned from the Super League, cancel his character. Unfair competition, this guy!
“He comes to his own penalty area for the corner, kicks the ball. He goes to the opponent’s penalty area, gets into a goal position. He turns and gets the ball in the midfield, and is in the counter-attack again.
“What kind of a player is this, I have never seen such a player! Send him back, whoever is taking him, Osimhen has become a scourge to the Super League.”
The Napoli loanee has contributed a goal or assist in every Süper Lig game he’s played so far, scoring in the last three matches and assisting in his first two games.
