Victor Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray, has reportedly turned down the chance to join Manchester United in January, opting to remain with the Turkish champions for the remainder of the season.

Osimhen was one of the most sought-after strikers during the summer transfer window.

Despite Napoli’s willingness to allow him to leave, no agreement was reached with suitors, including Chelsea and clubs from Saudi Arabia.

This impasse left Osimhen facing the risk of being relegated to Napoli’s reserves.

However, Turkey’s extended transfer window provided a lifeline, enabling Galatasaray to secure the 25-year-old on a season-long loan.

As part of the deal, a break clause was included, allowing Osimhen to return to Napoli in January if one of ten pre-approved clubs made an offer.

Manchester United, who have closely monitored the striker’s progress, is one of the teams interested in triggering this clause.

A previous report from Sports Buddy revealed that Manchester United had been ready to pursue Victor Boniface, but the move was blocked as Bayer Leverkusen prepared an enhanced contract for the Nigerian striker.
