Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, and Chelsea are also reportedly keen on Osimhen. With a €70m (£58m) price tag anticipated, the player could be set for a Premier League move.

Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk has emphasized Osimhen’s commitment to finishing the season in Turkey, despite his £62m release clause being valid in January.

Chelsea are long-time admirers, but United and Arsenal have ramped up their interest, sending senior scouts to monitor the “world-class” forward in recent matches.

United’s January Striker Search

Gyokeres
November 5, 2024, Lisboa, Portugal: Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting CP celebrates a goal during the UEFA Champions League 2024/25 League Phase MD4 match between Sporting Clube de Portugal and Manchester City at Estadio Jose Alvalade.

United are actively evaluating their options for a striker in January.

While Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyökeres is also on their radar, a move for the Swedish international seems more feasible in the summer, given their £180m summer spend and new manager Rúben Amorim’s reluctance to raid his former club midseason.

Amorim, who suffered his first defeat as United boss in a 2-0 loss to Arsenal, was visibly frustrated with his squad, notably venting his frustrations at Amad Diallo during the match.

With Manchester United back in the bottom half of the table, their next challenge is a must-win clash against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
