William Troost-Ekong recently spoke on Hawksbee and Jacobs about his Nigerian teammates Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman, both of whom have had stellar performances and could soon make high-profile moves.
Ademola Lookman’s Rise in Serie A
The London-born forward has been a revelation since joining Atalanta in 2022.
Lookman recorded a career-best 15 goals in his debut Serie A season, followed by 17 in his second, which included a stunning hat-trick in the Europa League final against an unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen.
This season, Lookman has already scored 11 goals in 12 games, leading Atalanta’s unexpected Serie A title charge.

With his remarkable year, Lookman is a strong contender for the African Player of the Year award.
In an Exclusive from talkSPORT, Troost-Ekong expressed confidence in his teammate, noting, “I would say he’s arguably our best player and arguably the best player in Africa right now. On December 16, there will be the ceremony, and I’m sure he’s going to win it.”

Lookman’s form has attracted interest from top clubs, with Troost-Ekong revealing that rumors about a potential move are credible.
