Former Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech has made a bold declaration, revealing that he intends to leave Galatasaray in the January transfer window.
The Morocco international has been significantly sidelined this season, playing only 320 minutes due to a minor injury that kept him out of action for nearly a month.
Since his return in October, Ziyech has struggled to make an impact, often being used sparingly by Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk.
Frustrations Mount as Ziyech Misses Key Opportunity
Ziyech’s frustrations reached a boiling point after a disappointing cameo appearance against Bodrum.
Having provided an assist in his previous match, Ziyech was given a chance to impress off the bench, but his performance was far from convincing.
In a pivotal moment, he squandered a golden opportunity to double his side’s lead after being played through by Victor Osimhen.
This miss, combined with his limited playing time, has seemingly contributed to his growing disillusionment at the club.

Hakim Ziyech’s Frustration with Galatasaray and Okan Buruk

Ziyech didn’t hold back in his criticism of the situation, stating via journalist Haluk Yürekli, “Galatasaray, it’s over for me, I told them I’m leaving in January.
I’ve never seen such a bad coach as Okan Buruk. If Galatasaray can win the title? I don’t care… Leave me alone, no matter what happens. I already regret coming. I was supposed to leave at the beginning of the season, but they didn’t want to. I’m leaving in January.”
His words signal the end of his brief and turbulent spell in Turkey, with the player now seeking a new challenge.
Despite the injuries to key players like Mauro Icardi and Victor Osimhen, Ziyech has still found himself on the fringes of the team.
Icardi, who is likely out for the rest of the season with a serious knee issue, and Osimhen, who is expected back by December’s end, have both created opportunities for Ziyech to step up, but he has been largely ignored by Buruk.
This lack of game time has only fueled his desire to move on from Galatasaray.
