Samuel Chukwueze’s future at AC Milan hangs in the balance as the Italian club considers letting go of the Nigerian winger just a year after signing him from Villarreal.
The 25-year-old joined the Rossoneri in the summer of 2023 for a fee of €20 million, with €8 million in performance-based add-ons. While his arrival was greeted with much optimism due to his electrifying pace and flair, Chukwueze has struggled to live up to expectations in Serie A.
In 69 appearances for Milan, the Super Eagles forward registered just eight goals and six assists, far below what the club envisioned. With new manager Max Allegri looking to reshape the squad ahead of the new campaign, Chukwueze is one of the players Milan is open to selling if a suitable offer arrives.
According to “Gazzetta dello Sport” journalist Luca Bianchin, Premier League side Fulham remain interested in the Nigerian after previously enquiring about him during the January transfer window.
While no formal talks have begun, Fulham are closely watching developments and could make a move should Milan make Chukwueze officially available.

Chukwueze, however, is not backing down just yet. The former Villarreal star is said to be keen on staying and proving himself under Allegri during the pre-season. Milan’s training camp and friendly fixtures may be crucial in determining whether he stays at the San Siro or departs for a new challenge.
With the summer transfer window heating up, the coming weeks will be critical for both Chukwueze and AC Milan as they assess whether to continue their partnership or part ways.
