Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is set to join Turkish giants Beşiktaş from Leicester City in a deal worth €9.5 million, according to reports by transfer expert Florian Plettenberg (@Plettigoal). The 28-year-old is expected to sign a contract that will keep him at the Istanbul club until 2028.

Ndidi, who joined Leicester in 2017 from Genk, has been a key figure in the midfield over the years. However, following Leicester’s relegation in 2023 and subsequent squad restructuring, the Nigerian international has been linked with multiple clubs across Europe. Beşiktaş appears to have won the race for his signature. He will play against Victor Osimhen if the deal eventually goes through.
Fresh Challenge After Premier League Journey
The move marks a new chapter for Ndidi, who made over 240 appearances for the Foxes and played a pivotal role in their 2021 FA Cup triumph. Known for his tough tackling and defensive awareness, he is expected to add steel and experience to Beşiktaş’s midfield as they prepare for the upcoming Super Lig season and European competitions.
The deal is reportedly in its final stages, with only minor details left before an official announcement is made by the Turkish club. Ndidi is also believed to have agreed personal terms with Beşiktaş, signaling his readiness to take on a new challenge in Turkey.
A Boost for Beşiktaş Midfield
Ndidi’s arrival will be seen as a significant boost for Beşiktaş, who are aiming to reclaim the Super Lig title and make a strong impact in Europe. The Nigerian’s experience, leadership, and work rate are expected to be central to the club’s ambitions moving forward.
An official unveiling is expected in the coming days once the player passes his medical and completes thefinal paperwork.
