The 36-year-old Nigerian, who played for United between 2020 and 2021, shared his excitement on Manchester United’s official Instagram post showcasing the impressive £50 million overhaul of the Carrington complex.

The stunning revamp, “funded by United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, marks the most significant investment in the facility since its 2000 launch. Spearheaded by renowned architect “Norman Foster”, the new Carrington integrates modern sports science, elite-level recovery and nutrition zones, and collaborative spaces aimed at fostering team unity.
The project forms part of Ratcliffe’s broader £300 million investment to restore United’s footballing dominance and culture. Club leadership and players have now relocated into the revamped building, uniting football operations and top-level management under one roof.

Ighalo, who grew up idolizing United and fulfilled his dream of playing for the club under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, couldn’t hide his affection, commenting:
