The Nigerian international joined from Leicester City for a reported €8 million, marking one of the club’s headline summer signings under president Serdal Adalı’s aggressive squad overhaul.

Beşiktaş unveiled Ndidi in style last week, with the 27-year-old promising to “create history” at the club. His arrival has generated buzz among supporters, with the club’s official training photos and videos going viral on social media.

Set for Competitive Action

Ndidi is expected to feature in the second leg of Beşiktaş’s Europa Conference League third qualifying round tie against Ireland’s St Patrick’s Athletic on Thursday, August 14, 2025. The Turkish side holds a comfortable advantage after securing a 4-1 victory in the first leg.

Speaking about the upcoming match, Ndidi expressed excitement about contributing immediately: “I am ready to give my best for the team. We have the quality to go far in Europe, and I want to be part of that journey.”

New Chapter After Leicester

Ndidi’s move to Istanbul ends his eight-year spell in England, where he became a key figure at Leicester City. At Beşiktaş, he will bring his experience, defensive solidity, and leadership qualities to a side aiming for silverware both domestically and in Europe.

Fans will be eager to see if the Nigerian star can make an instant impact and live up to his promise of helping Beşiktaş write a new chapter in its European history.
