Jadon Sancho is edging closer to a permanent exit from Manchester United after approving a move to Serie A giants AS Roma.

The 25-year-old winger, who joined the Red Devils from Borussia Dortmund in 2021, has endured a turbulent spell at Old Trafford, marked by a public fallout with Erik ten Hag and subsequent loan spells.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, via GSP, Roma have submitted an official offer that would see Sancho initially join on loan for the upcoming season, with an obligation to buy for around €23 million. Negotiations are ongoing, but both clubs are confident of reaching a final agreement soon.
Interest from Multiple Clubs
Sancho’s availability attracted interest from several clubs this summer, including Juventus, Fenerbahce, Beşiktaş, and multiple Saudi Arabian sides. Borussia Dortmund also explored a permanent return, but financial demands proved a stumbling block.
Revival at Chelsea

Last season, Sancho spent a successful loan spell at Chelsea, making 42 appearances in all competitions, scoring 5 goals, and providing 10 assists. He also won his first international club title, playing a key role in Chelsea’s UEFA Conference League victory over Real Betis, where he scored in the 4-1 final win.
If the Roma deal goes through, Sancho will be looking to revive his career in Italy under Daniele De Rossi’s management, as United prepare to part ways with one of their most expensive signings.
