German giants Bayern Munich have opened negotiations with Atalanta over the signing of Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman, according to reports from The Athletic. The Bavarians are keen on securing the 27-year-old attacker on loan with a sizeable fee, alongside an option to buy at a fair price.

Atalanta, however, are yet to give their final verdict on the proposed deal, as Lookman remains one of their most valuable players following his exceptional performances last season.
As reported by Sport buddy, Inter Milan appeared closest, agreeing personal terms with Lookman and tabling a €45 million bid. Atalanta, however, rejected the approach, holding firm on their €55 million valuation.
Lookman Open to a Fresh Challenge

Lookman, who has impressed in Serie A and on the European stage, is weighing his options but is determined to seek a new challenge this summer. The Super Eagles star has been linked with several top European clubs, but Bayern’s interest appears to be the most advanced at this stage.
The forward’s ability to play across the frontline makes him a versatile option for Bayern, who are looking to strengthen their attack ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Nigerian Presence in Bundesliga Growing
If the move is finalized, Lookman would join fellow Nigerian Victor Boniface in Germany’s top flight, further strengthening the presence of Super Eagles stars in the Bundesliga. Negotiations are still ongoing, with all parties hopeful of reaching a conclusion in the coming days.
