Reece James of Chelsea has become the subject of ridicule due to his unfortunate standing in the Premier League’s disciplinary records for the current season.

Despite featuring in just five matches this season, James has received two red cards, making him the most penalized player in the current campaign. In terms of red cards, James is currently on par with Oliver McBurnie of Sheffield United and Yves Bissouma of Tottenham, both of whom have also been sent off twice this season.

Reece James has received 2 red cards this season despite playing just 419 minutes

Reece James, after receiving his second red card of the season during Chelsea’s 2-1 victory over Brighton, now finds himself in a regrettable situation.

Despite playing only 419 minutes in the Premier League this season compared to McBurnie’s 1354 minutes and Bissouma’s 2083 minutes, James has been sent off more frequently than any other player, as per 90 Mins.

As a consequence of his latest dismissal, James will be sidelined for Chelsea’s final match of the campaign and faces the possibility of missing the first three matches of the next season as well.
