Former Tottenham and Chelsea manager, Mauricio Pochettino, has been identified to be the next head coach of the USMNT as confirmed by The Athletic and many reputable outlets.
This decision has come at a crucial phase for soccer fans in the U. S. who have been eager for a high-profile managerial appointment following the departure of former coach Gregg Berhalter.
A New Era for USMNT
The U. S. Soccer Federation has been on a lookout for a high profile coach to take charge of the national team after they failed to advance past the group stage in the Copa America this year.
Mauricio Pochettino’s name came up as the possible choice for the position, and reports this week indicated that the Argentine had agreed to take over U. S. team.

Pochettino has never been in charge of any national team but he has been great at the club level.
He was initially able to catapult Southampton to an eighth position in the Premier League in 2013.
