Sandro Tonali set for Newcastle United return after betting ban.
Newcastle United has stated that their midfielder, Sandro Tonali is expected to return to the first team on the 28th of August, 2024 after serving a ten-month suspension from appearing in competitive football as reported previously by Sportsbuddy.

The Italy international signed for Newcastle from AC Milan last summer but had failed to appear for his new club or the national team due to being banned for violating the betting rules in Italy, a penalty that sidelined him from both club and international duties, including Euro 2024.
Newcastle’s Statement and Upcoming Fixtures
The club clarified that Tonali was banned from the game from October 26, 2023, and the suspension will come to an end on August 27, 2024.
The next day, he is going to be eligible to be included in the squad, which means that Tonali is going to return to play for Eddie Howe’s side.
Notably, Newcastle has significant fixtures lined up ahead, such as the Carabao Cup second-round match against Nottingham Forest and a Premier League game against Tottenham Hotspur on September 1.
Sandro Tonali’s Anticipated Impact

Tonali’s return is highly anticipated as Newcastle aims to reintegrate the talented midfielder into their lineup.
His absence has been more than noticed and the Magpies would want him to participate in their domestic and European endeavours this season.
Many fans and critics are waiting to see how Tonali will perform again on the football field to contribute to the dreams of Newcastle this season.
